The CUNY Graduate Center is pleased to announce the selection of 38 Black, Race, and Ethnic Studies (BRES) Fellows for 2025-2026. The 17 Graduate Center doctoral student fellows and 21 faculty fellows from 10 campuses across the City University of New York won support for innovative research projects that address topics in Black, race, and ethnic studies.
The fellows will be affiliated with the BRES Collaboration Hub — an intellectual home for convening faculty and students interested in multidisciplinary research. In 2024, the BRES Collaboration Hub received funding from the Chancellor’s Strategic Investment Initiative to establish the BRES Research Seed Grant Program to support faculty research.
